Overflow

Lazybrook has started a new outreach service called Overflow.   This service, being contemporary in style, is held every other Sunday night at 6:00 pm.  It is an energetic worship experience led by young adults and college students, and a time to be challenged personally by God's Word.  The services are free flowing and changing, so you never know what new things you will experience at the Overflow!  Please follow the link below to visit the Overflow's main page, where you can find more information about the Overflow, see the upcoming schedule, listen to past sermons, and be challenged by God's Word.

Lazybrook Baptist Church is very involved in our local community through ongoing associations.  Many of the local civic clubs have their monthy meetings in our Fellowship Hall.  The Jaycee Park improvement committee meets here as well.  We are also one of the voting locations for local and national elections.  Some of our other local events include:

Fall Festival

Our Fall Festival, held on Oct. 31, is offered free to our community.  We have free food and entertainment for all and free games and candy for the children.  Gospel presentations and scripture/tract distribution is part of our Fall Festival experience.

Kid's Hope USA

Kid's Hope USA is a program in which we have teamed up with Sinclair Elementary School to mentor students.  Mentors from our church spend 1 hour a week with a needy student from Sinclair.  We help the students with math and reading as well as encourage them.  If you would like to be a part of this ministry, you may speak to Becky Jackson, Minister of Children.

Hampton House Worship

Every Monday @ 1:30 pm, we go to the hampton House Assisted Liveing Center and have a worship service with our senior adult friends there.  We fellwoship together as well as sing songs and have a devotional time.  It is a great time to encourage the residents but also to be blessed by them.

HBU

Our pastor, Dr. John Neesley, is an adjunct professor at Houston Baptist University and teaches New Testament on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.  From this connection we are infused with next generation energy as students share their gifts (service, music, testimonies) with us.  Also we have an opportunity to encourage them by addressing their needs as students.
